hi, I'm Damaris!

The primary focus and heart of my therapeutic work is creating and fostering a meaningful connection. Together, we'll explore what isn't working and gently journey towards repairing, reimagining, and rebuilding the relationships you have with yourself and the world around you.

My approach…

The primary focus and heart of my therapeutic work is creating and fostering a meaningful connection. Together, we'll explore what isn't working and gently journey towards repairing, reimagining, and rebuilding the relationships you have with yourself and the world around you. Drawing from emotionally focused, narrative, and attachment-informed approaches, I'm here to celebrate your strengths, offer genuine empathetic support, and cheer you on as you move toward greater authenticity and freedom.

My areas of focus include attachment difficulties, particularly family of origin wounds, self-connection, and boundaries, as well as anxiety in its many forms, whether that looks like stress, burnout, generalized anxiety, or patterns like people-pleasing. I also offer faith-based counselling for clients who are looking for a Christian counsellor. That said, this will never be part of our work together unless you choose it. I deeply honour each person's individual worldview and approach every client with respect and without judgment.

Outside of the office...

You'll likely find me with my husband and daughter, getting my hands dirty in the garden, or losing myself in a good book. I have a soft spot for highland cows, a growing collection of new recipes to try, and an embarrassing obsession with royal family podcasts. I'm a firm believer in the power of a good bath and a beloved daily coffee. When it's time to truly unwind, you'll find me curled up rewatching The Great British Baking Show or Modern Family for the hundredth time.
